Press Release

Dirty T-Shirt Productions is pleased to release its Canada by Bicycle, a guide to cycling across Canada from Vancouver to St. John’s. Written by veteran bicycle tourist and travel writer Steve Langston, Canada by Bicycle is a 72 day itinerary from the Pacific to the Atlantic.

The guide is available in print as well as on-line. The on-line version is available for free at www.canadabybicycle.com and is optimized for hand held devices meaning that it is possible to leave the guide at home and follow this dynamic guide on the internet. The site is equipped with a comment function allowing bike tourists to leave their comments, review businesses or tourist attractions along the route or for businesses to connect with bike tourists.

Combining healthy living and sustainable, low-carbon traveling, Canada by Bicycle offers cyclists a low cost, earth-friendly, health conscious way to experience the beauty of Canada. Perfect for solo cyclists, couples, or groups, Canada by Bicycle includes detailed maps and camping information, as well as step-by-step advice for maximizing the enjoyment of your trip, whether you are a seasoned bicycle tourist, or just starting out.

Langston, 26, undertook the massive tour in 2009. The trip is captured in videos and still pictures on his website. A veteran bicycle tourist, Steve became hooked on cycling after biking from Vancouver to Mexico along the West Coast. Langston has also bike toured around Europe, Manitoba and across Canada. Presently, he is preparing for his next bike tour, a month long journey from Whitehorse, Yukon to Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, departing on June 1st 2010 where he will be the focus of a full-length documentary.

The book is available for purchase across Canada at Mountain Equipment Co-op and other independent cycle and book shops across Canada as well as on www.amazon.com. See http://www.canadabybicycle.com/purchase-from-a-retailer
